Measuring Angels

Today for Maths I was learning about measuring angles by using a protractor. We all had routines to do pencil code or measuring angels. My group has already done our pencil code so we are now moving onto our DLO. I had 2 texts, one was about measuring angel names and my last text was how to measure a protractor.   

Read Theory Graph Grade

This week for Reading we took a screenshot  of our Grade Level Progression. Read Theory is a reading site that you have to answer questions. If you have just started Read Theory your grade would be grade 3. Also in Read Theory if you get 2 questions wrong you would move down a grade, if you don't get any wrong then you would move up and if you don't get all them correct or 1 wrong then you would stay as the same grade. 

Pencilcode

Today for Maths we played a game called Pencil code. I worked in a group with Nickaela, Angela,Avalon and Joel. We all got to make a shape or anything else. This was very hard to do because I had to get code right to make the square. The first shape I was trying to make was Jack's shape. It was very hard because I couldn't get the rest of his code so I just started again. We also had to learn the words for measuring angels so that it could be easier for us to do.

Making Connections

Today for Reading we have read a article about snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding. What we have done first was we all went on YouTube to watch a person surfing from New Zealand to see the waves we have.We all read a paragraph of the article. We all opened our document up and started to fill in text to text, text to world and text to self. What I learnt I learnt from the 3 sports is that they have to use balance. I have learnt that these 3 sports are played in a different area.

Kiwi Can

Yesterday for Kiwi Can is our second to last session of Kiwi Can. For Kiwi Can we played a game called bang . In this game we have to go in a circle and look on the  ground for someone to tell us if we can look up. Once we look up we have to look at someone and say bang if that person is looking  at you. The one standing was Mr Matt. After that we moved on to another game. This game was called wink. Everyone will close there eyes and wait until Miss Lilly has chosen someone as a tagger. The people that wasn't chosen has to look at someone in there eyes so that the tagger doesn't wink at them.

Commonwealth Games

 

2 weeks ago we did the Commonwealth games. I worked with Nyjah. Everyone had to read Extra news paper that was about the Olympic values. Also we all had to read 3 values and write it down in your google drawing but it has to be in your own sentence. Me and Nyjah finished and published it on our blog.

Table Master

Today we were playing a game called Table Master. This game will help you with your Time Tables. I had a lot of fun playing because I had 2 rows that had my name. I did my 5's  and 10's time tables to get me warmed up. I was trying to go very fast to beat my highest score for me to get better at saying my Time Tables.
