Tech | DVC

This week at Tech we have being painting our clock designs that we made last term. We have 3 more sessions of DVC then we are going to be moving onto our next rotation. I am designing a Game of Thrones clock because my mum and dad loves  watching Game of Thrones so the clock that I am making is going to be hanged up in their room. We all started painting our clocks today. The colours that I am using is Black and White because the background is going to be Black and the animal drawings are going to be coloured White. I hope for our next rotation we get to do Food tech because, I really want to learn some new recipes. 

DVC/ Tech

This week at Tamaki College we were designing our clocks on a piece of paper. Our Graphics teacher for term 1 is Mrs Ferguson. I have decided to make my Mum a Game of Thrones clock because she loves watching Game of Thrones. I chose my Mum because she needs to wake up early around 4 or 5 to go to work. In the clock it has some really cool designs in the clock. It was a bit hard to do drawing in it, but as I zoomed up to it got a bit easier for me to draw on the piece of paper.

Tech/ Graphics

Last week at Tech we  were doing our 2 DLO's that are connected with our clocks. First DLO is about what we are the 2 designs that we are going to use. We would need to pick one of those designs to make a Clock. I have decided to make my clock for my Mum because she also needs to wake up for work and she wouldn’t need to use her phone anymore. If you would want to design a clock what design would you choose?

Tech

Today at Tech we were created different shades and mixing in colours. As you can see at the top of sheet there are 3 boxes, the colour of those 3 colours are Primary colours. The 2 boxes below the primary colours those are called secondary colours because they are the second colour of the color wheel. At the bottom we mixed in Yellow and Blue to get the colour Green. I also did some Graduated Colours and Tint / Tone.  What is  your guys favorite colour? My favorite colour is Gold and Yellow and I dislike the colour Purple.  

Graphics/ Tech

During todays lesson we were designing 3D
shapes and shading inside our 3D shapes.
We first did grey shading.
The top was light, the side was medium and
the middle was dark.
We made another 3D shape.
We got to choose a color of our choice except Yellow.
We made sure that bits of our 3D shape was white.
I choose the Colour pink because barely anyone was going to use that
colour so I chose Pink.
At the end we drew a table from the corner of the dark colour.
After that we used our pencil to colour the dark colour side,
to make it even darker.

Technology Lesson 1

Today was our first session of Tech. We are doing Graphics. This time we are doing Clocks which we
are going to design our own clock. We first made a DLO, with transparent images that we found on the internet. . I would love to make a wood clock because it would really look cool. Lastly we sat around a table altogether as a group. We made some question for our design brief. We used for 5 w's and a H.

Tech/ Colour Theory

This week at Graphics we were colouring logos from google and tracing it on our screen. Before we did that we did tracing we were working on a DLO that had 2 squares but one inside the square. We chose 3 colours for each square and the background as a different color. The back round colour had to be primary colours. My favorite drawing was the second drawing because I added a lot of detail and colours were a Complementary, (Opposite colours). The colours and detail. The colours I used was Dark Green, Light Green, Blue, Dark Blue and Orange. This is our last session of Graphics and Tech for this term. Thank you Mrs Ferguson for being a creative and funny teacher and teaching us a lot about shapes and different designs.

Tech

Today at Tech we were doing some shading and other types in this box that we drew. We mixed up the colours to make it just not one because it would look flat so we decided to do two colours. The last thing we made was a wood design which was pretty cool... The colours we used were Brown,Orange and Yellow which are like a tree color.

Today I have created a diamond shape and I put the 3 colors together that was drawn as a diamond, and when I glued it together it made a cube shape. I really loved this session because my cube shape turned out really good and it easy in the start but sometimes I would get stress. I still need to cut it out next week hopefully if we still need to do it.

Today at Tech we started a drawing. I drew a flower, with 7 circles. We used a compass and a pencil. I haven't finished my drawing yet because I was trying to blend my colours. I got some help by Nyjah with my circles. The drawing I have put up is an example of what we are doing in Tech.

Ray Gun/ Created by Tinkcad/ Myself

Today at Tech I have being working on a Ray- Gun design created on a website called Tinkercad. I have being adding some more detail and also being working on the board with a Gun called the Ray- Gun from Call of Duty 2 in Zombies. The board is for the 3D Design and for the Phone Stand to be made on. First we drew it on a piece of paper and copied the drawing from the paper to Tinkercad. I have decided to make the color Yellow and the board Blue because those are top favorite colours and it kind of suits the gun and the board.  I found this on a website called Thingiverse, it has different kinds of drawings made on different websites. At the end on this blurb it has 2 links that can help you draw and give you a couple of ideas.

Design Models

Today we had Graphics at Tech. How does this design support my shape? This shape supports it, because the stick is holding the phone. What shape is my design?The shape of the Cookie is a circle because it is rounded. How can I improve my design? I can improve this design by doing smaller shapes of the chocolate chip so that I have more space.

Today we had Tech. We got to draw different types of shapes that was put on the board. We also had to put our name, link to our blog and link to our DLO about ourselves. I really like how we got to shade in our shapes or our 3D shape. We also made a copy of Phone Stands. We had to find photos that was plastic, wood, metal etc.

Tech

Today we had our first session of Graphics with Mrs Ferguson. We first started off making a DLO about ourselves. Graphics was really fun because we got to talk about ourselves and what we like. Mrs Ferguson's favourite color is Purple and she hates Yellow. My favourite color is Gold because it is very rich and very beautiful to look at.
