Weird and Wonderful | Day 2 Bonus Activity Week 1

Today in this activity I had to solve a Maths problem. Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant? So I researched how many days are there in a year? I found out it was 365 days. Here is my working out! 365x3= 1095ml

  1. Hey there Chavda, it's Billy here from the Summer Learning Journey programme. It's incredible that you've completed the entire programme. I am super impressed! I hope that you continue to comment on other children's blogs and help them - especially since you are such an expert!

Congratulations on getting the right answer for this activity.

What strategy did you use to solve this equation?

As an extension; can you tell me how much water this cactus would need over 15 years?

    How about 35 years?

Thanks, you seem very clever so I thought I'd challenge you a bit further!
    Again, well done!

    Billy

  3. Hi Chavda,
Well done on finishing this Summer Learning Journey activity. You did a great job on working out how much water a cactus would need for a year if they had 3mls a day. I can't imagine how thirsty I would be if I had to drink that small amount of water. I would probably die from dehydration within a few days. Keep up the good work.

  4. Hello Chavda! Good job on figuring out the answer to this equation. I wasn't sure about this question, but in the end I found out extra information I didn't know. I found doing this activity very interesting and quite easy. What did you have to do to find the answers? Keep it up!
